제목 | Electrochemical Characteristics of the Al2O3 ceramic layer and PVdF nono-fiber layer separator based on PE separator for Li-ion batteries |
초록 | With an aim to enhance thermal stability and electrolyte wetting of polyethylene porous separator, Al2O3 nano-powder layer and electro-spun PVdF nano-fiber layer were successively formed on both sides of polyethylene separator. The mutli-layered nano-fiber/ceramic composite separator exhibited a shrinkage of only 7.8% in area at 180 ℃, and did not show melt down up to 200 ℃. The electrolyte uptake of the composite separator was increased with the thickness of the nano-fiber layer; for the 8 m thick nano-fiber layer, the electrolyte uptake was 2.5 times larger than that of pristine polyethylene separator. Both discharge capacity and cycle life were improved with the thickness of PVdF nano-fiber layer owing to an increased electrolyte uptake. |
