In this study, a series of carboxymethyl cellulose sodium (CMC-Na) hydrogels with different concentrations in water are traditionallyprepared by the gamma rays from a 60Co source. These CMC-Na hydrogels have been dipped into AgNO3 aqueous solution (0.01M) for 1 hr to form the silver nanoparticles. The characteristics of Ag nanoparticles after absorbed by the CMC-Na hydrogels are monitored by UV-Vis, the morphological study and dispersed coefficient of particles were investigated by SEM/EDX. Moreover, XPS is used to characterize the amounts of the Ag nanoparticles. It is observed that the particle size and amounts of silver are increased with an increasing concentration of CMC-Na. |
