Synthesis of superabsorbent polymers using various polymerization techniques |
초록 |
We prepared superabsorbent polymers using bio-based monomers which have a carboxylic group and vinyl group. We initiated the polymerization with the persulfate-type one after neutralization of the monomers with NaOH. The structure of the prepared polymer was characterized by FT-IR. We confirmed the peaks of sodium carboxylate group at 1520 cm and 1470 cm. We estimated the water retention capacity by using centrifuge retention capacity (CRC) method. To obtain SAPs having very high water absorption in 0.9 wt.% of NaCl solution, we studied the effects of the change of polymerization sequence. |
