Polymer solar cells (PSCs) have developed in both the academic and industrial communities because of their potential characteristics, including flexible devices, large area, lightweight, and using low-cost solution processing methods. To improve the performance of the PSCs, tremendous efforts have been devoted to designing, synthesizing, and optimizing the photovoltaic properties of polymers by preparing suitable molecular energy levels, broadening the absorption bands, and increasing the hole mobility. Herein we report a new multi-functional copolymer, PDTP-DTBDT, containing DTP and DTBDT units brings not only superior charge transfer properties but also charge transport characteristics for efficient bulk heterojunction solar cells. |
