Lately, the interest in nanoparticle-conjugated biosensor has been increasing dramatically. Among many particles, magnetic nanoparticles became very promising material in medical diagnostics and therapy. However it has been confronted with the serious challenge of cyto-toxicity and false signal comes from non-specific interactions. We have studied to handle these problems, by appling functional coatings on magnetic particles comprised of weak polyelectrolytes. As a result, magnetic particles have a bioavailability. And by controlling the deposition condition of the coating, we could prevent irreversible coagulation of magnetic particles. Moreover, we demonstrated some other application of this system related with microfluidic system. |
