Polyurethane elastomer(PU) is one of well-rounded polymers for automotive parts and sports goods as the physical properties of PU can be varied in a wide range of mechanical properties. The amount of PU wastes is increasing these days and recycling of the PU has become an issue. Depolymerization products of PU waste can be transformed into the recycled polyols, the application of which is limited due to poor mechanical properties of PU obtained. Therefore, we added graphene oxide(GO) as a reinforcement of PU from recycled polyols and repeated recycling of the reinforced PU was investigated. It was found that the addition of GO into PU from the recycled polyol resulted in the large increase of modulus and tensile strength of the PU. Mechanical properties of repeated recycling PU is decreased, the more repeated PU recycling due to the degradation of polyol. Therfore we added antioxidant at the depolymerization process to prevented it. |
