Dispersion stability of pigments in organic medium was investigated through reprecipitation using Tween 20, CTAB, and SDS. First, pigments were dissolved in sulfuric acid and then added into surfactant solutions.In this reprecipitation process, the size of pigments could be reduced by their diffusion intoinner hydrophobic part of micelles of surfactants. Second, the reprecipitated pigments were dispersed in PGMEA using Ajisper PB-821 as a dispersant. Pigment particles were characterized by FE-SEM, XRD, and PSA. Dispersion stability was analyzed by UV-Vis spectroscopy. |
