Influence of porosity and amine content on polyethylenimine-modified titanate nanotubes for CO2 capture |

Amine-modified adsorbents have been interested due to their excellent performance on carbon dioxide (CO2) capture. In this work, we have prepared titanate nanotubes (TNT) with amine modification using polyethyleneimine (PEI) for selective CO2 capture under flue gas condition. TNTs have prepared by hydrothermal reaction, and PEI-functionalized TNT (P-TNTs) have prepared by wet impregnation method. Enhanced CO2 affinity through amine modification on TNTs allow for selective and favorable CO2 adsorption onto adsorbents. Our work provides evidence that the amine-modified adsorbents can be influenced by oxygen gas on CO2 capture performances, including regeneration ability. |
