제목 The preparation of BSA-loaded microcapsules for Drug Delivery System
초록 The sustained and controlled protein release as well as long term pharmacological duration of protein activity is very important in the development of practical drug delivery system. In this study, we prepared BSA-loaded microcapsules, consisting of BSA core inside a PLGA shell, varying a number of parameters to determine optimal conditions using a monoaxial ultrasonic atomizer. BSA encapsulation efficiency of ~60% and a particle size of ~50 micrometer. And injection of BSA-FITC-loaded microcapsules into rats resulted in a sustained release of BSA-FITC in plasma for up to 2 weeks. We believe the results of the present study provide new options for sustained in vivo release of highly potent therapeutics, and represent a useful experimental platform for future protein delivery research.
