Synthesis and Characterization of Star-Shaped Polyurethane using a Novel Hyperbranched Polyester Polyol Core |
초록 |
The methyl 3,5-bis(2-hydroxyethoxy)benzoate was synthesized from the reaction between methyl 3,5-dihydroxy-benzoate and 2-bromoethanol. The methyl 3,5-bis(2-hydroxyethoxy)benzoate was hydrolyzed to give desired AB2 monomer 3,5-bis(2-hydroxyethoxy)benzoic acid. The monomer was successfully bulk polymerized in the presence of strong acidic catalyst to give hydroxyl-terminated hyperbranched polyester polyols. The polyols were treated with 4,4-methylenebis(phenylisocyanate) (MPI) to afford star-shaped polyurethanes (PU). The properties of resultant PU networks were studied by using FT-IR, EA, MALDI-TOF, TGA and DSC. The results are to be presented. |
