Here, we developed a cancer-targeting system based on a pH-responsive and enzymatically cleavable, crosslinked fluorescent nanogel (F-nanogel) obtained from boronic acid-conjugated lactose modified-chitosan (chitlac-BOH) and a tumor-targetable polymer of polydopamine/nitric oxide-conjugated carbonized HA [FNP(HA-SNO-DA)] for doxorubicin (DOX) loading, actively targeting cancer cell and delivering drug. In DOX-loaded F-nanogels, because of pH sensitivity of boronic acid–catechol diol cross-linking and enzymatical property of hyaluronidase (HAase), DOX and NO were released. Therefore, pH level and HAase content in cancer cells can regulates the release of DOX and NO. Such nanogels offered a drug delivery matrix for enabling fluorescent diagnosis which possesses excellent biocompatibility and highly sensitivity under cancer cell conditions. |
