High pressure-sensitive property is attributed to abundance of deformable surfaces which can preserve and release mechanical energy reversibly. The deformable surfaces can be effectively prepared by the preparation methods of porous structures. Directional freezing is a simple method for making unique porous structures. In this study, a unique porous structure was fabricated from dimethylsiloxane in benzene via directional freezing and photo-polymerization twice. During the 1st crystallization, the honeycomb structure which was aligned to direction of temperature gradient was fabricated. In this structure, the different size of honeycomb structure was fabricated by the 2nd crystallization performed using different freezing rate of solution with 1st crystallization. As controlling the freezing rate of solution in each crystallization, the morphology of the porous structure became diverse. |
