제목 Liquid Crystalline Epoxy Resin/Alumina Composites for Highly Thermal Conducting Circuit Board  
초록 Recently, effective heat management is very important issues on electronic devices and many efforts are carried out to improve the heat dissipating properties of circuit board of electronic devices. In this poster, we present the recent progress on manufacturing highly thermal conducting composite materials using liquid crystalline epoxy resins (LCEs). Actually, LCEs have been known as promising candidates for improving the thermal conductivity of composites because of their superior ability to suppress of phonon scattering due to the excluded volume effect of liquid crystal (LC). We synthesized novel LCEs by substituting LC moieties into 2 and 5 positions of diglycidyl terephthalate and measured their thermal conductivities. We also prepared LCE/alumina composites and evaluated their thermal conductivity. At the poster section, we will discuss more detailed characterization of LCEs and the properties of LCE/alumina composites.
