Graphene is promising material due to its outstanding pysical and chemical properties stemmed from unique sp2 carbon bonded layered two-dimensional lattice structure. Top-down approaches are in progress to produce graphene, for example, reducing graphene oxide, fuctionalized graphite, ball-milling method, and etc. Among various researches, ball-milling process has attracted a lot of attention for preparation of graphene nanoplatelets due to simple due to simple but efficient for the selective introduction of functional groups at the edges with minimal damage on basal plane. By using ball-milling technique, we prepared chloromethylated graphene nanoplatelets (CMGnPs) with chlorine content as high as 4.26 at.% and used them as catalysts for the energy conversion and storage. |
