제목 | Effect of pore structure and size of silica supports on the prepared Pd/SiO2 catalyst |
초록 | Pd catalysts are usually deposited on the supports to overcome some problems such as high cost and sintering at high temperature. Ordered mesoporous silica (OMS) is widely used as supports, due to high specific surface area, stability, and uniformly pore distribution. The unique pore structures of OMS could affect to catalyst activity. Because nanoparticle size and dispersion is affected by metal-support interaction attributed to metal-support distance. In this work, we synthesized three types of OMS (MCM-48, SBA-15, HMS) prepared by using different templates to control pore structure. Pd catalysts supported on the OMSs were prepared by Ion exchange method. From the N2-physorption, SBA-15 has the largest specific surface area, MCM-48 has the smallest surface area. However the Pd/SBA-15 has the second highest metal dispersion despite the largest surface area. Because it has the bottleneck pore shape unfavorable to metal dispersion. From these results can be seen that the metal dispersion is associated with not only specific surface area but also pore shape. Further work, we will investigate the effect of pore size on prepared Pd catalyst and find optimal pore structure and size of OMS. |
