Hollow gold nanoshells have been extensively interested and investigated due to the unique physicochemical properties including synthetically controllable diameter and shell thickness, cargo loading optimized hollow structure, high surface-to-volume ratio and distinctive surface plasmon resonance. Moreover, the strong absorption around near-infrared wavelength region induced the converting of absorbed light into heat. These remarkable properties have been made hollow gold nanoshells as not only one of the promising nanostructure, but also ideal candidates for across all application fields. Here, we prepared hydrophilic interior and hydrophobic exterior janus environment having hollow Au-Ag bimetallic nanoshells with the advantages of high payload mediated chemo-thermo multi-therapeutic application. The system is based on the hydrophobic alkane thiol self-assembled monolayer formation onto interior surface. Prepared janus hydro-affinity nanoshells exhibited dual cargo loading of hydrophilic DNAzyme and hydrophobic SN38 which known to be difficult to delivery in aqueous system. The present janus hydro-affinity hollow nanoshells based SN38/Dz/NIR chemo-thermo multi-therapy represented high efficacy in cellular level study against NS3 HCV replicon RNA containing Huh7 cell. |
