Since perovskite solar cells(PSCs) achieved sufficiently high efficiency(~25%), we need to focus on scalable process and mass production for commercialization. To manufacture highly efficient PSCs, it is desirable to use the complex of lead iodide(PbI2) and dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) because of crystallization time control and stoichiometric coincident substitution with formamidinium iodide(FAI). If we can synthesize the PbI2-DMSO complex in a large scale, the measurement error by compositional fluctuation of PbI2 to DMSO ratio in each reaction batch is reduced. For this, we tried to synthesize the PbI2-DMSO complex powder in a large scale by solvent extraction process using isopropanol(IPA) somewhat miscible with DMSO without dissolving PbI2. Through this solvent extraction process, we could successfully produce large amount of PbI2-DMSO complex for mass production of PSCs. |
