Simultaneous Enhancements of Mechanical Propreties and Thermal Conductivity of h-Boron Nitride-dispersed Polyamide Composites by Plasma-coupled High Shear Treatments |

In the case of a polymer compoistes in which a thermally conductive inorganic filler is dispersed for imparting heat dissipation, it is an unstable interface between the filler and the matrixm which deteriorates the mechanical properties and decrease the gheat transfer property due to the dispersion issue. In order to overcome this problem, this study proposes a new process that can simultaneously control the dispersion of heat transfer components and the interface stability of the matrix. We have developed a new process technology that simultaneously induces the bonding force between heterogeneous interfaces by plasma and high density dispersion by shear force. As a result, polymer composite having both highly increased thermal conductivity and mechanical properties are manufactured. |
