제목 Preparation of Core-Shell Nanoparticles by Emulsion Aggregation Process
초록 The core-shell structures of polymer particle have been used as imaging and electronic materials. In this study, polymer particles having core-shell structure were prepared using so-called emulsion-aggregation process. The monomers used are styrene, butyl acrylate (BA) and methacrylic acid (MAA) without any emulsifiers. A macromonomer, PEG-EEM, was used as a reactive emulsifier during polymerization. The effects of pH, concentrations of electrolyte, and shear force, reaction temperature on the core-shell structures were studied. The glass transition temperatures (Tg) of the core and shell layer were measured, and the particle size and the particle size distribution were examined by using particle size analyzer (PSA). The structure of the core-shell structure was investigated using transmission electron microscope (TEM).
