제목 Structure and Properties of layered silicate nanocomposites based on a biodegradable polyhydroxyalkanoates
초록 Polyhydroxyalkanoates(PHAs) are a group of naturally occurring biodegradable and biocompatible polymers. Along with the development of polyhydroxyalkanoates, researchers have looked into the possibility of designing composites in combination with inorganic phase to further improve the mechanical properties, thermal properties, rate of degradation, and also impart bioactivity. In this study, the PHAs/layered silicate nanocomposites were prepared by casting method as a function of the organically modified layered silicate concentration in the matrix polymer. We examined the relationship between the properties and structures of the PHAs/layered silicate nanocomposites by X-ray diffraction, DSC, TGA and TEM. Thermal and mechanical properties of nanocomposites were also compared to the neat polymer.
