제목 | Driving-Voltage Reduction for Holographic Polymr Dispersed Liquid Crystal(HPDLC) with Various Urethane Acrylates |
초록 | Significant efforts to improve the electro-optic property of HPDLC have been made by a number of research groups . We have mainly focused on reducing the driving voltage of HPDLC with high efficiency. Especially we examined the effects of monomer structure because the interaction between polymer matrix and liquid crystal(LC) plays an important role in the electro-optic performance of HPDLC. In this experiments, we modified the molecular structure of urethane acrylate oligomer by varying raw materials. Also The electro-optic properties of HPDLCs doped with a high dielectric anisotropy(Δε) compound were used at different levels. It turned out that the driving voltage changed according to the molecular structure of PU. The morphologies of these gratings were measured by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and electro-optic properties were obtained with microscopy.
