제목 Free- Radical Doping of DNA and Magnetic Properties
초록 The study of synthetic molecules that specifically bind to DNA is a challenging area of molecular recognition research. Such molecules have the potential to elucidate new mechanisms underlying DNA recognition. DNA-intercalator conjugates provide new tools for a selective control of gene expression and may have potential applications. Increasing interest in radicals bound to metals led to the present study of electron transfer to and from metal nitrone complexes and metal nitroxides. These are species involved in biological spin trapping and materials science applications, respectively. Thus we synthesized free radical containing triphenylamine derivatives and observed that free radical doping of DNA had magnetic properties.
