Synthesis of Bismethacrylate-type polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane, as a Potential Matrix for Dental Restoratives. |
초록 |
The polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) is thermally and chemically more robust than silicones and their nanostructure shape and size provide unique properties at the molecular level. Incorporation of nano-sized organic/inorganic hybrid monomer into the matrix of dental restoratives may improve their mechanical properties. Two types of bismethacrylate monomers and macromonomer bearing aminopropylisobutyl-POSS were prepared by Michael addition of ethylene glycol acrylate methacrylate (EGAMA), tetra-ethylene glycol acrylate methacrylate (tetra-EGAMA) and tetra-ethylene glycol diacrylate (tetra-EGDA) to aminopropylisobutyl-POSS. Hybrid monomers were cured with bisphenol-A glycerolate dimethacrylate (Bis-GMA), urethane dimethacrylate (UDMA), and triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA) by visible light activated polymerization system. Structure-property relationships of the hybrid monomer for dental application were investigated. |
