In this study we investigated the curing behavior and zeta potentials of urea formaldehyde (UF) resin with various curing conditions. The curing behaviors of UF resin were greatly influenced by the curing characteristics in their curing temperature and time. This study compares the level of zeta potentials for curing conditions of 80, 100 and 120℃ for 3, 5, 10, 20, 40 and 60 min, respectively. Zeta potentials of the UF resins were measured by the use of an electrophoretic light scattering spectrophotometer (ELS-800, Otsuka Electronics). The curing behaviors of UF resins were measured by the use DSC, TGA and FT-IR. |
