Polymer electrolyte has been attracted wield attention since the first development by Fenton et al. By using all solid polymer electrolytes, the shortcomings of liquid electrolyte leakage can be neglected, and a separator is unnecessary, which enable to the electrolyte to be prepared in thin film to get high energy battery. Among various polymer matrixes, oligio(oxyethylene) unit is the most investigated system due to its ability to dissolve metal ions, and also its high segmental flexibility for ion transport. However, Poly(oxyethylene)-based systems tend to crystallize at room temperature, which leads to the ionic conductivity of this kind of polymer electrolyte below the value for practical application. This work aims to design a kind of novel polymer electrolyte containing oligio(oxyethylene) unit side chain and polar ester group in the terminal group. The polymer electrolytes are expected to show high ionic conductivity at room temperature by introducing polar ester groups. |
