제목 N-substituted Naphthalene Diimide Derivatives for Electronic Applications
초록 Organic semiconductors (OSCs) are used in electronic devices such as field effect transistors (FET), photovoltaic cells (PV) and light emitting diodes (LED). Naphthalene diimide (NDI) is one of the n-type OSC candidate molecule for high performance devices. NDI is widely used as electronic applications, because of one-pot synthesis from naphthalene dianhydride and easy tunability of N-substituted side chain. By introducing various N-substituents of the NDI, it is possible to adjust the intrinsic properties of NDI molecules such as solubility and supramolecular interactions. We investigate single crystal structure analysis, intermolecular interactions and thermal stability of NDI derivatives with N-substituted side chains. Thermal analysis is carried out using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). NDI derivatives exhibit strong intermolecular interactions and good thermal stability.
