A study on migration properties of TAC (Tri Acetyl Cellulose) film with various plasticizers |

In LCDs, triacetyl cellulose (TAC) film plays an important role as protection film for polyvinyl alcohol layer in polarizer due to its high transparence, flatness and low birefringence. In TAC films, some amounts of additives are essentially included because neat TAC has phase difference and poor mechanical property. In this study, we prepared various recipe of TAC films with various additives. Basically we investigated their optical and mechanical property on plasticizers, and we attempted EDX mapping method to evaluate the migration properties of plasticizers in TACs depending on their thermal treatment conditions. |
