Fabrication and Application of Visible Light Active Photocatalysts |

Trapping sunlight with an aid of chemical mechanism might be an answer to the energy shortage as well as to the environmental issues. Thus, this research focused on fabrication and application of visible light active photocatalysts. Ruthenium doped niobate photocatalysts were synthesized using a hydrothermal method. Pure niobium oxide did not show any adsorption peak in the visible range. When ruthenium oxide was doped, the visible light absorption occurred in the visible range, most significantly with the catalyst with 1% ruthenium. |
