Preparation of Polymeric Magnetic and Conducting Core/shell Nanosphere Particles |

Multifunctional core-shell nanoparticles have received considerable attention due to their unique intrinsic properties. Magnetite-Polystyrene/Polythiophene(Mag-PS/PT) core/shell nanoparticles were fabricated via two-step synthetic method. Magnetite nanoparticles were modified by Oleic acid and capsulated in PS particles via mini-emulsion polymerization. Outer surface of shell, PT, was polymerized by oxidation-reduction seed polymerization. As a couple agents, hydrogen peroxide and ferric chloride were used to carry out recycling oxidative initiation. The morphology and inner structure of Mag-PS/PT Core/Shell particles were analyzed by SEM and TEM method, respectively. Photoluminescence property of it was measured by PL. Material composition was also proved by FT-IR. Conductivity of Mag-PS/PT nanoparticles were measured by 4-point probe conductivity meter. Finally, crystalline structure of Magnetic particles were investigated by XRD. |
