제목 Synthesis of POSS derived inorganic-organic hybrid insulating oils
초록 Insulating oils are in demand for years due to their unique physical characteristics like thermal and oxidative stabilities, high flash point and good pour point, low temperature flow ability with clean high temperature operation. People have been already focused on study of such combined insulation system of transformer for decades. Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS), having a rigid and durable cage structure, is known for its stability even at higher temperatures and expected to show good flow ability at lower temperature when attached to certain ester moieties. Thus we started our journey towards the synthesis of various biodegradable insulating oils from POSS. Herein, we described the synthesis of esters of octahydroxy-POSS derivative and acyloxysilyl POSS.
