Conducting polymer/cellulose composite papers for adsorption, sensing, and energy storage |
초록 |
Conducting polymer polypyrrole (PPy) was coated on cellulose by vapor deposition polymerization, which resulted in flexible, free-standing conductive composite papers. Co-vapors were introduced together with the monomer vapor during the polymerization and it turned out that they significantly affected the main properties of the composite papers. The adsorption and electrochemical properties of the PPy/cellulose papers were investigated systematically. The composite papers had good adsorption efficiencies for metal ions and reversible redox properties, which allowed them to find exclusive applications in heavy metal sensing and pseudocapacitive electrical energy storage. It is expected that the PPy/cellulose papers will provide opportunities for low-cost flexible or wearable devices. |
