Highly ordered vertical TiO2 nanotube have some impressive properties for application to DSSCs. TiO2 nanotubes offer a large internal surface area and a short electron diffusion pathway compared with the conventional nanocrystalline particle. Among various TiO2 nanotube fabrication approaches, we choose electrochemical anodization method which has a advantage to control TiO2 nanotube’s physical properties such as pore size, tube length and wall thickness. Anodization was carried out in two-electrode system at room temperature. Ethylene glycol containing 0.25 wt% NH4F and 0.2% deionized water is used for electrolyte. Ti foil was biased at 60V for 4h. TiO2 nanotube’s average pore diameter is 110 nm and the length of nanotube was 15m. Using this tube, we obtained overall photo conversion efficiency 2.1%. We expect that Jsc can be improved in longer tube condition until 30m. |
