제목 Ordered Microporous film by solvent evaporation and spin coating.
초록 Hemishperical micropore and sub-micropore in the matrix of cellulose acetate butyrate(CAB) was prepared by simple evaporation of the solvent from CAB solution and spin coating under humid condition. This phenomenon has been explained by "Breath Figure" that solvent evaporative cooling on the surface of the solution condenses water vapor and makes water droplets in the interface of solution and water vapor. Then water droplets interact with one another and are finally ordered in hexagonal lattice. After complete evaporation of the solvent and water, the traces of water droplets remain in CAB film. We employed various solvents (chloroform, benzene, THF, and acetone) and solution concentrations under relative humidity keeping from 95% to 25%. The higher humidity the solution is placed, the larger pore is made in the film. The feature size is typically 200㎚ to 2㎛. With adding small amount of water in THF solution, the ordered film was made even under dry condition.
This kind of film is thought to be used as light modifying layer, membrane, and surface controlled materials like adhesive anchoring layer.
