Photopolymerization technology has attracted a significant amount of attention due to its various industrial applications, such as coatings, paints and printing inks, adhesives, composite and dental remedial materials. Among the various methods of photo-curing, UV-curing systems are widely used due to their advantages, such as their rapid production rate in a small place of work, lower process costs, high chemical stability, high dimensional stability and solvent-free curing at ambient temperatures. In this study, carboxylic ester acrylate oligomers were synthesized as base materials for UV curing resin. The chemical structure of synthesized carboxylic ester acrylate oligomers was analyzed using FT-IR and NMR spectroscopy. Then, the carboxylic ester acrylate oligomers were diluted with reactive monomers having various functional groups to make UV curing resin. Their adhesion properties, miscibility, viscosity, thermal stability, and transparency were investigated. |
