제목 The Effects of Vinylurethane Macromonomers with Structural Difference and Various Molecular Weights as a Reactive Stabilizer In Dispersion Polymerization of styrene
초록 The different structure macromonomers have been synthesized to study effect of the macromonomer as stabilizer in dispersion polymerization of the PS microspheres via ethanol medium. Bifunctional cross-type vinyl urethane macromonomers (C-VUM) and linear-type vinyl urethane macromonomers (L-VUM) constitute polyethylene glycol (PEG) having various molecular weights. The structure and molecular weight of synthesized macromonomers were confirmed using 1H NMR and GPC. The average size of the C-VUM-g-PS (C-PS) microspheres decreased from 4.4 to 1.16 ㎛and molecular weight increased from 34,129 to 100,487 g/mol with PEG molecular weight. The C-PS molecular weights were characterized higher than L-PS but the PS particle size was adverse appearance. The XPS result shows that the C-PS miocrospheres were anchored on the surface large amount than the L-PS. The Tg of the grafted polystyrene was negligible change around 100 oC, the onset point of the C-PS were higher than L-PS.
