제목 Thermal Stabilities and Flame Retardancies for Polycarbonate and Poly(Cyclohexylene dimethyl terephthalate)
초록 In order to develop an efficient FR for high temperature polymers such as charring polycarbonate (PC) and non-charring poly(cyclohexylene dimethyl terephthalate) (PCT). Various organo-phosphorus FRs based on phloroglucinol diphenyl phosphate (PDP), were synthesized for PC. The TGA results revealed that PDP shows a higher thermal degradation temperature and better flame. The UL-94 V-0 rating was achieved at a PDP loading of 2 wt% for PC. The high thermal stability and P–OH generation tendency is responsible for the better flame-retarding performance of PDP. Recently, lots of attention has been paid to PCT which having higher heat resistance and hygrothermal stability compared to PET and PBT. In this study, the pyrolysis and flame behavior of PCT are investigated by employing the metal (Aluminum) complex of alkyl phosphinate as a main FR. The flame retarding performances of various formulations are studied by the UL-94 and TGA.
