Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have been studied a lot as a new materials in the area of biotechnology, biosensing and nanomedicine because of their unique and tunable magnetic properties. The utilization of MNPs for the selective capture and separation of specific glycoproteins from biological samples provides a fast, accurate and sensitive advantage in detecting diseases. In this study, MNPs with uniform size and shape were synthesized by thermal decomposition method. In addition, surface functionalization of MNPs was carried out using specific ligands for biomolecule binding and biocompatibility enhancement. Furthermore, their morphology, electromagnetic characteristics, and binding ability with biomolecules were investigated |
