제목 Enhanced lithium storage performance of the Li[Ni0.8Co0.1Mn0.1]O2 cathode by nitrogen and sulphur dual-doped carbon coating
초록 Lithium ion batteries (LIBs) have been regarded as the most competitive candidates for powering electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). Among the number of different cathode materials nickel-rich LiNixCoyMnzO2 is particularly interesting due to the superior charge/discharge properties. Li[Ni0.8Co0.1Mn0.1]O2 (NCM811) is regarded as a promising material for next-generation lithium ion batteries due to the high capacity, but its practical applications are limited by the poor electronic conductivity. Herein, we report one-step method to prepare the nitrogen and sulphur dual-doped carbon (NSC), subsequently able to coat on NCM811 to be as NSC@Li[Ni0.8Co0.1Mn0.1]O2 (NSC@NCM811). The physical properties of as-prepared cathode active material are characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy.  The electrochemical performances using galvanostatic charge/discharge cycler, cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy have been investigated.
