Superacid-Catalyzed Sulfonated N-Methylisatin Polymer for Fuel Cell Membrane Applications |
초록 |
Polymer containing N-methylisatin was synthesized via superacid-catalyzed polyhydroxyalkylation reaction. We have achieved the high molecular weight polymer by this superacid-catalyzed polymerization. These polymers have ether linkages on polymer backbone that render softness and make more elastic. And sulfonic acid groups were introduced by sulfonation reaction with concentrated chlorosulfonic acid. Their sulfonic acid groups with functionalization and the measurement of apposite parameters for proton exchange membranes (PEMs) were described. All these membranes were casted from N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) polymer solutuion. The membranes were studied by ion exchange capacity (IEC), water uptake, dimensional stability and also proton conductivity measurement. The chemical degradation test was performed by Fenton’s reagent, and compared with Nafion 211. |
