In this work, we have investigated a simple and effective direct carbonization method to prepare highly porous carbon (HPC) using calcium citrate as a carbon source. And the activation protocol of the HPC was carried out with the amount of activation reagents. The yield of the HPC was confirmed based on TGA. The micro-structural properties were observed by XRD and FT-Raman spectroscopy. The textural properties were proved by nitrogen sorption analysis. The specific surface area, micropore volume, and micropore size distribution were determined by BET, D-R, and H-K method, respectively. From the results, it was found that the amount of activation reagents had considerably influenced on the textural and structural properties of HPC. |
