제목 Surface cross-linking process to improve the performance of the superabsorbent polymer according to solvent types
초록 In this study, we investigated the surface crosslinking process depending on the type and composition of the solvent. SAPs were synthesized with monomers of carboxylized acrylic monomer and vinyl sulfonic acid by solution polymerization. Monomers were neutralized to improve absorption performance. Tetraethylene glycol diacrylate was used as an inner-crosslinker and ammonium persulfate was used as an initiator. The structure of the synthesized SAP was confirmed by FT-IR. We measured centrifuge retention capacity and absorbency under load. In addition, we observed the surface morphology of surface-crosslinked SAP according to the type of solvent by SEM image and investigated its changed absorption performance.
