Azido group is useful because of its reactivity with alkyne moiety using click chemistry. In this study, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with azido group was synthesized, and it can be functionalized with desired functional group or characteristic moiety. Because azido TPU has the properties of TPU such as quite high mechanical property, flexibility and processability, the azido-TPU polymer could be processed to fiber and film as application platform. On this platform, we functionalized with chromic dye which can change its own color by the external stimulus such as UV, humid or heating. The platform with chromic dye can be used for external environment sensor. Furthermore, we can write and erase the letter reversibly on the platform with a partial external stimulus. Also, the TPU can be stretched due to the its property, and it can act as a cipher at original state because it can be recognized only when the platform is stretched after writing the text on stretched state. |
