Synthesis and Characterization of Multiblock Copolymers containing Sulfonated Poly(p-phenylene) for Polymer Electrolyte Membrane water Electrolysis |
초록 |
Water electrolysis technologies are one of the most promising alternatives to store energy from renewable energy resources. Among them, polymer electrolyte membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE) is one of ways to produce hydrogen electronically by using PEM to transport hydrogen ions. Moreover, it has higher current density and hydrogen purity than other water electrolysis technologies. Dupont’s Nafion has been widely used as a PEM due to its excellent chemical stability and mechanical properties. However, Nafion has some drawbacks such as high cost and low durability. In this study, we synthesized multi-block copolymers with rigid sPP-based hydrophilic block and Naphthalene-based hydrophobic block by Ni(0)-catalyzed cross-coupling polymerization. Physical and chemical properties of the polymers were also investigated systematically. |
