In this study, we prepared the functionalized MWNTs with –B(OH)2, -COOH, -SH, and –NH2 as energy storage materials and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray (EDAX) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). We also prepared the EDLC device using the anode electrode with the functionalized MWNTs, Nafion 117 membrane, cathode electrode with the activated carbon, and 1.0M H2SO4 electrolyte. We measured the specific capacity, current density, voltage density, and total energy density to the prepared EDLC device. As results, the EDLC prepared by the functionalized MWNTs could be used as the energy storage materials. |
