Multifunctional polymer composites employing carbon fillers have attracted widespread attention. Mechanical and electrical properties of the composites can be improved by addition of carbon nanotubes owing to their high elastic modulus as well as excellent conductivity. This study is focused on the investigation of electro-mechanical properties of an epoxy resin filled with various carbon materials. For uniform dispersion, graphite were used after milling to less than 50 ㎛ and epoxy composites reinforced with high content of graphite was characterized. Firstly, the mechanical properties of epoxy composites under tensile loading were comparably investigated in detail. Secondly, the electrical properties of epoxy composites under tensile loading were investigated. |
