Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have attracted significant interest in various applications due to their remarkable mechanical, electrical and thermal properties. Especially, in a polymer/CNT composite, CNTs proved to be useful fillers because of their easy processibility, fully reversible blending characteristics and superior mechanical properties such as high flexibility. However, the dispersion of CNTs in the polymer matrix and the interfacial adhesion between CNT and the polymer matrix are important issues in providing improved the mechanical, electrical and thermal properties of the polymer/CNT composite. In this study, ABS / polystyrene(PS)-grafted CNT composites were fabricated using melt blending and their mechanical, electrical and thermal properties were investigated. The influence of the PS-grafted CNT on the interfacial adhesion between modified CNT and ABS matrix was analyzed. |
