제목 Investigation of reverse electrodialysis stack performance with photocrosslinked anion exchange membrane and cation exchange membrane
초록 Reverse electrodialysis (RED) is a blue energy from salinity gradients. Ion exchange membranes should have low electric resistance, high permselectivity and good mechanical, chemical and thermal stability in RED systems. UV-curing has easy process and performance improvement. Semi-interpenetrating polymer network (sIPN) represents a cost-effective way to improve the compatibility between the blend polymers. sIPN show high mechanical property and good stability.  
In this study, anion exchange membranes(AEMs) and cation exchange membranes(CEMs) are prepaered by UV-curing and sIPN respectively. Membrane properties, such as chemical structure, ion exchange capacity, water uptake, pH tolerance, permselectivity, area resistance were measured. In conclusion, lab-made IEM showed power density greater than commercial CMV-AMV membrane under the same condition.
