제목 Permeability and Permittivity of γ-Fe2O3 Nanoparticles Fabricated via an Electron Beam Irradiation
초록 Iron oxide nanoparticles have been used in many applications including catalyst, data storage, biomedical applications, and electromagnetic wave shielding because of their excellent magnetic properties. In this study, we synthesized the iron oxide nanoparticles using an electron beam irradiation. It has γ-Fe2O3 chemical structure with uniform sphere shape of 20 - 30 nm. Its saturation magnetization value is 53.1 emu/g, and coercivity is 37.4 Oe. The complex permeability and permittivity of γ-Fe2O3/paraffin wax composites were measured using a network analyzer. Measured return loss values and simulated results were compared. The composite has adequate electromagnetic wave absorption properties with more than -40 dB at 6 GHz.
