Progress inPrinted Organic PhotovoltaicCells and Modulesusing Novel Acceptor Materials |

During the past several years, the performance of organic photovoltaic cells has remarkably been improved due to development of low bandgap donor materials. However, the appropriate printing process for OPVs has not been developed yet and only few report about large area printed OPV modules can be observed. Actually, we reported the novel acceptor materials can improve a PCE by increasing a Voc value of OPVs, that is to say, 4.74% PCE with a Voc of 0.81 V can be achieved using a mixture of P3HT and one of our novel acceptors as a photoactive materials under AM1.5G 1sun. To develop efficient printed OPV modules, we designed and fabricated 9 pixel seriesly connected printed OPV module and optimized the printing process with a variation of printing resolution, printing speed, and combination of solvents. Finally, 1.5% inkjetted OPV module which are is around 100X100 cm2 can be obtained and other progress will be discussed in detail. |
