The interest of various countries of the world is collecting around on-time monitoring system and emission control technology of mercury in the stack gas by conclusion of Minamata convention on mercury. This study was carried out as to whether the adsorption of gaseous mercury occur at any wavelength using titania photocatalyst under fluorescent lamp. It is well known for the titania is active under UV light, but we found a photoactivity of titania under fluorescent light so that we could remove the gaseous mercury. Further more, we use a cut off filter for to see whether the optical wavelength can help to be active of titania. The number of cut off filters is nine (350, 370, 380, 390, 430, 450, 470, 490, 510 nm). |
